Seeking a Senior Level Paralegal
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a Senior Level Paralegal to join their Detroit, Michigan office. This role involves close collaboration with a lead attorney and legal assistant, contributing to the firm's mission of advocating for consumer rights.
The Senior Paralegal will be responsible for preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. Duties include e-filing court documents in state and federal courts, conducting legal research, preparing discovery documents, coordinating depositions, and organizing trial binders and exhibits. Additional tasks encompass client communications, managing case files, and assisting with case settlements.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of litigation experience, with a preference for those with backgrounds in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or related practice areas. An associate degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute are required. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment are essential.
