Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm, is seeking a highly organized and empathetic Case Manager to join their team. This role involves managing a varied caseload, assisting attorneys in developing settlements, and preparing necessary documents and correspondence. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused and capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently.
Key responsibilities include daily interactions with existing and potential clients via telephone and in person, ordering medical records from providers, and communicating with clients and providers during the course of treatment. The Case Manager will also obtain documents necessary to support injury and liability positions, interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and account balances, and negotiate case settlements with insurance carriers. Additionally, the role involves maintaining organized case files, preparing comprehensive demands for submission to carriers, and managing case files from intake to closing under the direction of an attorney.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and have prior experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager or in a legal position or as a bodily injury insurance adjuster. Strong negotiating skills, the ability to be a team player, and proactive interaction with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers are essential. The role requires the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision, as well as strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and typing at least 35 words per minute is also required.
