Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm, is seeking a qualified Litigation Assistant to join their team in Columbus, Georgia. As a Litigation Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the legal team and ensuring the efficient operation of the firm's daily activities.

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include performing administrative duties such as scheduling hearings and managing deadlines, organizing case files, and handling logistics. You will maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and legal documents, and implement administrative processes to enhance workflow efficiency. Additionally, you will collect, examine, and organize evidence for attorney review, draft and proofread legal documents, and conduct research to assist with case preparation. Managing client billing and communicating with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings and depositions will also be part of your duties.

The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for an associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred. A minimum of two years of experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal is required, preferably within a law firm or corporate legal department. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or related practice areas is advantageous. Strong multitasking abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision is crucial.
