Senior Accountant
As a Senior Accountant at Lila Sciences, you will play a pivotal role in scaling and refining our financial operations during a period of rapid growth and innovation. You will own core accounting functions, help implement best-in-class processes, and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting across the company. Partnering closely with Finance, Operations, and cross-functional teams, you will bring rigor, insight, and systems thinking to support strategic decisions and maintain financial excellence. Your key responsibilities will include supporting the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting. You will ensure the accurate application of US GAAP, especially concerning fixed assets and leases. Collaborating with lab operations, procurement, and other departments, you will manage fixed asset and lease workflows, tracking, and accounting. Additionally, you will support audits and compliance efforts by preparing schedules and coordinating with external auditors, and drive improvements in accounting systems and processes, such as ERP optimization and automation of reconciliations.
To succeed in this role, you should possess a CPA license and a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. You should have at least 4 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in public accounting or a high-growth tech or life sciences company. A strong knowledge of US GAAP is essential, along with experience with accounting systems like NetSuite or similar ERP platforms. Advanced Excel skills and a high degree of attention to detail are also required.
We offer competitive compensation, including bonus potential and generous early equity. The final offer will reflect your unique background, expertise, and impact. The expected base salary range for this position is $88,000 to $126,000 USD per year.
