Senior AI Engineer
The Senior AI Engineer at SecurityScorecard will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing AI-driven product features that enhance cybersecurity insights. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to develop intelligent automation solutions, leveraging large language models (LLMs) and distributed systems to address real-world security challenges. SecurityScorecard, headquartered in New York City, is a global leader in cybersecurity ratings, continuously evaluating over 12 million companies across 64 countries.
Key responsibilities include designing, building, and deploying customer-facing AI-powered features using TypeScript, Go, and AWS, ensuring end-to-end quality and reliability. The role also involves architecting and implementing agentic workflows, LLM pipelines, and intelligent automation to provide actionable security insights. Integrating foundation models into existing product surfaces with a focus on latency, cost, and output quality is essential. Additionally, the engineer will lead architecture and code reviews, collaborate with product and design teams to translate user needs into compelling AI-driven experiences, and stay current with advancements in AI tooling and foundation models.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong track record of shipping customer-facing product features. A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience building AI-powered applications in production, including LLM integration and prompt design, is required. Proficiency in TypeScript and strong backend engineering fundamentals are essential. Experience designing and operating distributed systems in cloud environments, preferably AWS, along with hands-on experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and production deployment practices, is expected. Strong computer science fundamentals, including systems design, data structures, and networking, are also necessary.
The estimated total compensation range for this position is $170,000 to $205,000, comprising base salary and bonus. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition to competitive salary, employees may be eligible for annual performance-based incentive awards and equity.
