Senior Analytics Engineer
ClearScore is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Data Mission team, where you'll take technical ownership of how we model, transform, and activate data at scale. Utilizing a cutting-edge tech stack including dbt, Databricks, and Kafka, you'll define the standards that the team works to and build the data products that power decisions for millions of users.
In this role, you will lead large data initiatives, managing delivery end-to-end across multiple components, stakeholders, and phases. You'll set and uphold best practice standards for analytics engineering, from data modeling conventions and dbt patterns to testing, documentation, and observability, ensuring consistent application across the team. Additionally, you'll lead data model design discussions, shape architectural direction, and design new schemas with best practices and end-user utility in mind.
The ideal candidate is an expert in SQL and dbt, capable of designing and building robust, scalable data transformations on platforms like Databricks. You should have strong experience with data modeling concepts and frameworks, such as Kimball, and have led architectural design discussions. The ability to set and communicate engineering standards, diagnose and resolve complex production issues, and design pipelines with testing, monitoring, and maintainability in mind is essential. A system-level view of data, considering lineage, dependencies, and the ripple effects of changes, is also important. Experience with orchestration tooling like Databricks Workflows and familiarity with data activation tools or streaming platforms like Kafka are advantageous.
