As a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer at Mesh, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure within Azure. Your expertise will bridge the gap between security and operations, ensuring high availability and robust observability across our systems. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in cloud security and DevOps practices, particularly those based in the Eastern Time Zone.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include architecting secure Azure infrastructures, integrating security best practices, and managing CI/CD pipelines with a focus on security. You will collaborate with the infrastructure team to enhance system reliability and performance, implement monitoring and automation tools, and lead security incident response efforts. Additionally, you will deploy and maintain tools like Azure Security Center to manage cloud security posture and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will have over eight years of experience in cloud security and SRE/DevOps roles, with a strong emphasis on Azure environments. Proficiency in automation tools such as Terraform and Bash scripting is essential, with knowledge of Python and Terragrunt being advantageous. Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), is required. A deep understanding of Azure services, including App Service, Functions, Storage Accounts, API Management, Key Vault, App Configuration, and Logic Apps, is necessary. Familiarity with Azure Governance, monitoring tools like Azure Monitor and Datadog, and CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions is also important.
