Senior Backend Engineer (Elixir)

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Remote, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to building tools, APIs, and integrations for our HR and Payroll products. In this role, you will lead the development of major team-scoped projects and participate in cross-team initiatives. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing feedback on product work, suggesting solutions to problems, and using your technical expertise to propose product improvements. You will maintain a strong understanding of the team's domain from both product and engineering perspectives, contribute to the shared codebase, debug and resolve technical and business issues, and mentor other engineers.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience as a Backend Engineer working with Elixir, including building, shipping, and maintaining complex software projects. Proficiency with Postgres (or similar databases) and CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins is required. Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Next.js, and frontend frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular is a plus.
