Senior Backend Engineer

Lighthouse is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team dedicated to revolutionizing commercial strategy in the hospitality industry. As a key member of the "Indie" team, you will play a pivotal role in developing an all-in-one commercial platform tailored for independent hotels. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering innovative solutions that empower our clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality backend services that process large volumes of real-time data. Your day-to-day activities will include developing and optimizing APIs, ensuring system scalability and reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Additionally, you will lead architectural discussions and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence.

The ideal candidate will have multiple years of experience as a backend engineer, with a strong background in Python, Go, and/ Proficiency in software architecture, data modeling, and system design for APIs and distributed systems is essential. Hands-on experience with both relational and NoSQL databases, as well as familiarity with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure, is highly desirable. A forward-thinking approach to integrating AI into modern architectures will be considered a significant advantage.
