Senior Backend Software Engineer | BASE
Wellhub is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our BASE Focus Area (Tagus team) in Brazil. This remote position is integral to developing scalable solutions that support millions of active users, clients, and partners globally. The Tagus team focuses on building the core of Wellhub's business model, ensuring high availability and flexibility to accommodate diverse business models.
In this role, you will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance services with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, and resilience. Responsibilities include integrating third-party APIs and tools, supporting existing systems to enhance functionality and scalability, and collaborating in an agile environment that prioritizes productivity and people. You will also have the opportunity to influence architectural decisions across the microservices ecosystem and develop both leadership and technical skills.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience. Experience in architecting large-scale multi-tier applications and designing complex modern web applications is essential. Proficiency in cloud-based architectures (AWS/GCP), developing RESTful web services, and working with SQL/NoSQL technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DynamoDB is required. Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Ruby, Go, or C++ is necessary, with Golang being a plus. Strong communication skills are vital for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across different countries and cultures.
