Senior Collections Specialist

Sterlington PLLC is seeking a Senior Collections Specialist to manage the end-to-end collections process for assigned client accounts. This role involves proactive outreach to clients with overdue invoices, negotiating payment plans when necessary, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve billing questions and disputes. The position is based in Toronto, Canada, and requires working hours aligned with US Eastern Time.

Key responsibilities include making outbound collections calls, monitoring accounts receivable aging, applying and reconciling payments, and maintaining clear records of all collection activities. The specialist will also support month-end close processes, analyze client payment behaviors, and prepare data-backed recommendations for write-offs and reserves.

The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in collections or accounts receivable roles, strong communication skills in English, and proficiency in accounting systems and Excel. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple accounts are essential. Experience with AI-enabled tools and automation to enhance collections workflows is preferred.
