Senior Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer at Mozilla, you will be an integral part of the Data Engineering team, responsible for managing the entire data lifecycle. This includes ingesting and transforming raw data into reliable, high-quality models that empower Mozillians to make informed decisions. Your primary responsibilities will involve building and managing business data pipelines, as well as transforming Firefox telemetry data into structured datasets. Collaborating closely with data scientists, product managers, and marketing teams, you will develop models and metrics that drive Mozilla's strategic decisions. Additionally, you will monitor data quality using observability tools and participate in weekly triage rotations to address any data issues promptly.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of professional experience in data engineering, with proficiency in SQL and Python. A strong background in data modeling, software engineering fundamentals, and the ability to execute projects independently is essential. Experience with cloud distributed systems, particularly Google Cloud Platform, and a commitment to Mozilla's core values are also important.
