Senior Data Engineer

WPP Media is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, India. As part of WPP's AI-driven media operating unit, we integrate media, data, and partnerships to deliver creative personalization at scale. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake Storage. Key tasks include implementing complex SQL solutions to support advanced analytics models, developing automation frameworks with Python, and ensuring the reliability of production pipelines through proactive issue resolution and adherence to coding standards.

Candidates should have 3-4 years of progressive experience in data engineering, with expert-level proficiency in Azure Data Factory, SQL, and cloud data platforms such as Azure or GCP. A strong background in designing and managing large-scale data pipelines, SQL performance tuning, and CI/CD automation is essential. Advanced knowledge of production operations and high-availability data processing is also required.
