Senior Data Operations Engineer
The Senior Data Operations Engineer at AffirmedRx is responsible for ensuring the integrity and seamless flow of the company's data ecosystem. This role involves managing the technical onboarding of client data, automating data ingestion pipelines, and resolving complex data discrepancies. The engineer will serve as the primary technical liaison between raw client data and the internal analytics environment, ensuring all data is accurately mapped, validated, and accessible.
Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining secure client data gateways using SFTP, administering SharePoint file security to ensure HIPAA compliance, and building scripts with Python and PowerShell to automate file movements. The role also involves developing and optimizing dbt models to transform raw claims and eligibility data, preparing analytics-ready tables for business intelligence, and performing root-cause analysis on complex data sets to maintain data integrity across multiple pipelines and formats.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience, along with over seven years of progressive experience in data operations or data architecture. A minimum of three years of experience in healthcare or pharmacy benefit management settings is required, specifically in developing enterprise solutions for claims, eligibility, and accumulator data. Proficiency in Python, MSSQL, PowerShell, and experience with Snowflake, Fabric, and dbt are essential. Practical knowledge of secure managed file transfer protocols and expertise in handling various data formats are also necessary.
