Senior DevOps
Gong is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, operate, and evolve the platform that runs Gong's production environment across AWS, GCP, and Azure. This platform supports hundreds of Java microservices, machine learning model-serving workloads, and the internal tooling utilized by the R&D organization daily.
The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing a multi-cloud, multi-region Kubernetes platform using tools such as Crossplane, Helm, and ArgoCD. Key duties include developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Argo Workflows to deploy, test, and scale workloads across various environments. Additionally, the role involves overseeing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using Datadog, Coralogix, Sentry, and Wiz, as well as participating in on-call rotations to ensure system health.
Candidates should have over five years of experience in DevOps or platform engineering, with deep expertise in AWS and a proven track record of managing high-scale production systems focusing on reliability, performance, and cost optimization. Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is essential, along with experience in infrastructure as code and GitOps practices using Terraform and ArgoCD. A solid understanding of cloud security and architecture best practices, as well as familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, is also required. Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Node.js for automation purposes are necessary, and a strong grasp of Linux systems is expected. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across R&D, Security, and Product teams are crucial.
