Senior Director - Commercial
The Senior Director - Commercial at WPP Media is a pivotal role responsible for managing commercial contracts and ensuring compliance with applicable laws. Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and managing commercial contracts, Statements of Work (SoWs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and Bank Guarantees. The Senior Director will ensure compliance with statutory requirements under applicable commercial and corporate laws, collaborate with internal legal departments for specialized legal matters, and align contractual practices with international standards. Additionally, the role involves supporting negotiations with vendors, clients, and partners from a financial and compliance perspective, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting in dispute resolution and claims management.
Candidates must possess a Chartered Accountant (CA) certification and have a strong understanding of commercial contracts, company laws, contract laws, and compliance frameworks. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret legal documents and translate them into actionable commercial strategies. Preferred qualifications include experience in managing commercial contracts and compliance in a corporate environment, familiarity with the Contract laws, Companies Act, and other relevant commercial laws, and strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
