Senior Director / Vice President, Community & Ecosystem Growth Strategist
Lila Sciences is seeking a Community & Ecosystem Growth Strategist to enhance the online presence and engagement of its executives and scientific leaders. This role focuses on building high-quality networks across academia, industry, and government sectors, ensuring that Lila's leadership is actively and credibly involved in technical discussions. The strategist will play a pivotal role in expanding Lila's influence within key scientific and technological communities.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing growth strategies for executives' social media accounts, such as X, LinkedIn, Substack, and niche community platforms. The strategist will cultivate relationships with researchers, lab leaders, R&D decision-makers, open-source contributors, and public sector stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves participating in online discussions related to AI-accelerated science, robotics, materials science, life science, chemistry, frontier technology, generative AI, and agentic science, ensuring Lila's presence is both helpful and authentic.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of organically growing executive and brand followings in technical or scientific spaces. Strong writing and editorial skills tailored for technical audiences are essential, along with comfort in engaging in public technical discourse, including handling disagreement and skepticism. A solid understanding of marketing strategies is necessary to align with brand and communication goals, coupled with the ability to independently manage social and community initiatives on a day-to-day basis.
Lila Sciences offers a competitive base salary ranging from $126,000 to $186,000 USD, along with bonus potential and generous early-stage equity.
