Senior Finance Operations Manager
ClearScore Technology Limited is seeking a Senior Finance Operations Manager to oversee and enhance the company's core transactional finance processes, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll. This pivotal role ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial operations while driving efficiency, automation, and robust internal controls as the business continues to scale. The position involves leading a team of three direct reports and reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, with close collaboration with the People and Commercial teams, as well as external partners. A significant focus will be on migrating the Accounts Payable platform to a more efficient and automated solution.
Key responsibilities include managing the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, from purchase order creation and invoice receipt to approval and payment, ensuring timely and accurate supplier payments, and resolving any discrepancies. The role also encompasses overseeing billing, invoicing, and cash collection processes within Accounts Receivable, monitoring aged receivables, and proactively managing overdue balances. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for the complete payroll operations, ensuring accurate and on-time delivery, compliance with tax and statutory requirements, and seamless integration with the HRIS platform. The position also involves designing and maintaining strong financial controls, preparing operational finance reports, supporting month-end close activities, and identifying opportunities to automate and streamline finance operations.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic or professional background with a high level of numeracy and sustained achievement. Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, preferably within a fast-paced, high-growth environment, is essential. Familiarity with finance systems such as Tipalti, Payhawk, Sage Intacct, Pento, and Deel is advantageous but not mandatory. Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive, continuous-improvement mindset are crucial for success in this role.
ClearScore offers a competitive salary ranging from £79,000 to £89,000, depending on experience.
