Senior Frontend Engineer – Greenfield Product (Angular)
CarOnSale is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their team in Berlin or Munich, focusing on developing a new standalone product from the ground up. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to influence system design, architecture, and product direction from the outset. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to transform ideas into production-ready software, laying the foundation for the system's evolution.
Key responsibilities include building a new production-grade product, designing and implementing a scalable frontend architecture using Angular and TypeScript, and taking ownership of features from concept to deployment. The role also involves contributing to technical architecture decisions, establishing development standards, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices, mentoring other engineers through code reviews and technical feedback, and continuously improving development workflows using modern tools and AI-assisted engineering.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience as a frontend engineer, with strong expertise in Angular (version 11 or higher) and TypeScript. Experience in designing scalable frontend architectures, a solid understanding of software design principles, and proficiency with modern frontend tooling such as NPM, Webpack, or esbuild are essential. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and experience working in agile teams (Scrum or Kanban) are also required. Strong communication skills in English are necessary, and conversational German is considered a plus.
