Senior GTM Automation & Systems Manager
Gong is seeking a Senior GTM Automation & Systems Manager to lead the technical systems and operations behind our marketing and lifecycle programs. This role is pivotal in connecting MQL creation, lifecycle automation in Marketo, routing and stages in Salesforce, MQL activation in Gong Engage, and measurement into a cohesive, scalable system. The successful candidate will be an AI-first builder, transforming GTM strategy into reliable automation that drives MQL volume and enhances MQL-to-opportunity conversion. Collaboration with the GTM Programs Manager will be essential to focus on architecture, data, and execution, with the opportunity to build and lead a campaign operations function over time.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining Gong’s marketing automation infrastructure in Marketo, encompassing audience segments, smart campaigns, program logic, behavioral triggers, lead routing, and suppression rules. The role involves translating audience strategy into scalable email automation, auditing and rebuilding existing nurture portfolios, managing the marketable contact database, designing AI-powered workflows using tools like n8n, Make, Zapier, and Clay, and integrating data across Gong’s GTM stack to ensure clean, reliable data flow between systems.
The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in marketing automation or related technical marketing roles within B2B SaaS or enterprise software. Expertise in Marketo, including program architecture and lead scoring, is essential. Strong hands-on experience with workflow automation tools and a working knowledge of Python, SQL, and/or JSON for data manipulation are required. An AI-first work style, proven experience in managing a B2B contact database at scale, and a working understanding of GTM concepts are also necessary.
