The Senior Legal Counsel will play a pivotal role in supporting Flipdish's mission by providing comprehensive legal guidance across various domains, with a primary focus on employment law and data protection. This position involves close collaboration with the People, Finance, Commercial, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure legal compliance and to proactively address potential risks. The role encompasses a diverse range of legal responsibilities, including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, and equity management.
Ideal candidates will possess over five years of post-qualification experience as a solicitor in Ireland, demonstrating strong expertise in employment law and data protection. Proficiency in GDPR compliance, including engagement with regulators and leading privacy assessments, is essential. The role requires clear communication skills to effectively translate legal risks into actionable steps for non-legal stakeholders. A proactive approach, high ownership, and the ability to challenge suboptimal decisions are key attributes for success in this position.
