As a (Senior) Legal Counsel at Aumovio, you will be an integral member of the Global Commercial Law team within the company's legal department. Your primary focus will be providing legal guidance on technical compliance matters, particularly within the European legal framework. Aumovio, headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany, is a leading technology and electronics company specializing in mobility solutions, including sensor technologies, displays, braking systems, and software-defined vehicle platforms.
In this role, you will be responsible for advising on technical compliance requirements and product-related obligations, such as product safety laws, EU regulations, CE conformity, and environmental and chemical legislation. Your day-to-day tasks will include reviewing and legally assessing technical compliance issues raised by departments like Engineering, R&D, and Quality. Additionally, you will support the interpretation of existing technical standards and norms from a legal perspective and contribute to the development and enhancement of the company's technical compliance system.
The ideal candidate will possess a full legal qualification (Volljurist) and have several years of professional experience in the legal department of a corporation or an international law firm. A strong background in product law, product liability, product safety, or technical compliance is essential. Fluency in both German and English, both written and spoken, is required. A technical affinity and the ability to legally assess technical documentation are also important. The role demands the capability to present complex issues in a practical and understandable manner, along with high communication and advisory skills, entrepreneurial thinking, and resilience.
