Senior Legal Counsel, Real Estate

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel specializing in Real Estate to join its dynamic Legal team in Costa Mesa, California. This role is integral to managing Anduril's expanding real estate portfolio, including leases, property holdings, and construction projects. The ideal candidate will provide strategic legal guidance to the strategic real estate and facilities teams, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities encompass negotiating and drafting complex tenant-side real estate leases, subleases, and related transactions. The Senior Legal Counsel will also oversee legal aspects of property acquisitions, dispositions, and strategic development projects. Additionally, the role involves managing construction contracts, ensuring favorable terms for Anduril as an owner/tenant, and developing legal strategies for securing state and local tax incentives related to real estate.

Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top-tier accredited law school and have a minimum of 10 years of experience focusing on complex, tenant-side commercial real estate leasing. Active membership in good standing with the bar in at least one U.S. state is required, with the ability to practice in California. Expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial real estate lease agreements, including familiarity with AIA (American Institute of Architects) document families and ConsensusDocs, is essential.

The compensation package includes an annual salary ranging from $191,000 to $253,000, complemented by equity grants.
