Senior Localization Technical Program Manager
The Senior Localization Technical Program Manager at Mozilla will lead and scale localization initiatives across a diverse range of products. This role involves close collaboration with UX, Content, and Engineering teams to ensure products are localization-ready from design through release. The position is integral to Mozilla's mission of making the internet better for people by supporting a global community of volunteer localizers.
Key responsibilities include driving localized product releases end-to-end, defining testing and quality strategies, and setting priorities for localization bugs. The manager will coordinate with language service providers and external platforms to deliver high-quality localized content on time. Additionally, the role involves making informed trade-offs to optimize time-to-delivery, quality, and resource allocation, as well as partnering with engineers to design localization-ready features and improve tooling and workflows.
Candidates should have proven expertise in localization processes, workflows, and common industry formats used for software and web localization. Experience with online translation software, computer-assisted translation tools, and translation management systems is essential. The role requires excellent written and verbal English skills, fluency in at least one other language, and the ability to read and navigate source code to identify internationalization and localization issues. Experience with GitHub for version control and project management is also required.
