The Senior Localization Technical Program Manager at Mozilla will lead and scale localization initiatives across a diverse range of products. This role involves close collaboration with UX, Content, and Engineering teams to ensure products are localization-ready from design through release. The position is integral to Mozilla's mission of making the internet better for people by supporting a global community of volunteer localizers.

Key responsibilities include driving localized product releases end-to-end, defining testing and quality strategies, and setting priorities for localization bugs. The manager will coordinate with language service providers and external platforms to deliver high-quality localized content on time. Additionally, the role involves making informed trade-offs to optimize time-to-delivery, quality, and resource allocation, as well as partnering with engineers to design localization-ready features and improve tooling and workflows.

Required qualifications encompass proven expertise in localization processes, workflows, and common industry formats used for software and web localization. Experience with online translation software, computer-assisted translation tools, and translation management systems is essential. The candidate should have first-hand experience localizing software or web content at scale, excellent written and verbal English skills, and fluency in at least one language other than English or a deep understanding of linguistic complexity across various languages.

Compensation for this role varies by location. For example, in the United States, the salary ranges from $116,000 to $183,000 USD annually, depending on the location tier. In the United Kingdom, the salary range is £65,500 to £87,000 GBP annually. Mozilla offers generous performance-based bonus plans, rich medical, dental, and vision coverage, generous retirement contributions with 100% immediate vesting, quarterly all-company wellness days, country-specific holidays plus a day off for your birthday, a one-time home office stipend, an annual professional development budget, a quarterly well-being stipend, considerable paid parental leave, and an employee referral bonus program.

Mozilla fosters a culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. The organization encourages applications from individuals of all backgrounds and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities. Working at Mozilla offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the internet as a public resource accessible to all, while also supporting personal and professional growth.
