Senior Manager, Software Engineering
Engine is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead a high-performing team within their AI-native travel platform. This role involves overseeing the development of Engine's travel marketplace, including Flights and Partner Hub, and driving customer activation, engagement, and expansion. In this position, the Senior Manager will lead a team focused on rapid development and continuous improvement, fostering a culture of technical excellence and ownership. Responsibilities include managing the end-to-end development lifecycle of engineering projects, implementing AI-driven practices to accelerate quality and delivery, and driving efficiency through agile methodologies and engineering best practices. The role also involves acting as a liaison between engineering and other teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on priorities.
Candidates should have over five years of engineering experience, with at least five years in a management role, and a proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects. A strong technical foundation in technologies such as Node.js, Ruby on Rails, React, AWS (Lambda/Terraform), and Datadog is essential. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, with a Master's preferred.
Compensation packages are competitive and based on factors including experience, expertise, and location. In addition to a base salary, all roles receive equity, and total compensation may also include an annual bonus.
