Arista Networks is seeking a Senior ODM Hardware Design Engineer to join our dynamic Hardware Design Engineering team. This team is dedicated to developing high-speed networking and Ethernet products utilized across enterprise campuses, hyperscale data centers, and advanced AI clusters. As a key member, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, product management, and manufacturing, to innovate and deliver state-of-the-art products that enhance network performance and reliability.

In this role, you will oversee the entire hardware design process, encompassing authoring functional specifications, selecting and qualifying components, and capturing schematics. Your responsibilities will also include working closely with eCAD teams on PCB layout, conducting signal integrity simulations, specifying PCB stack-up and fabrication details, and coordinating with both local and overseas contract manufacturers from prototype through production. Additionally, you will be involved in lab bring-up and debugging of prototypes, driving complex system debugging across software, hardware, and test teams, training contract manufacturers for high-yield test and manufacturing, and mentoring junior engineers.

The ideal candidate will possess a BSEE or MSEE degree and have over 10 years of relevant experience in hardware engineering. Experience working with Original Design Manufacturers (ODM) and Joint Design Manufacturers (JDM) is essential. A strong background in designing networking hardware, particularly Ethernet switching, is required. Proficiency in embedded x86/ARM system design, high-speed interfaces such as DDR and PCIe, and familiarity with signal and power integrity concepts and tools are highly desirable. Experience with mass production design for manufacturability (DFM), FPGA design and system simulation using Verilog, and a proven track record of successfully taking products from concept to production are also important.

Arista offers a competitive base salary ranging from $130,000 to $225,000, depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and equity.
