Senior Product Compliance Manager - Pricing

The Senior Product Compliance Manager - Pricing will be an integral part of the Product, Compliance, and Risk Team, focusing on developing and overseeing the pricing controls framework and regulatory compliance strategy. This role is embedded within the Pricing Product Squad, ensuring that Wise's pricing strategies align with regulatory standards and customer expectations.
In this hands-on position, the Senior Product Compliance Manager will lead the Pricing Product Compliance and Risk program, conducting compliance risk assessments for new pricing models, and managing projects that interpret and translate regulatory requirements for Product and Engineering teams. The role involves coordinating with global product, marketing, compliance oversight, and finance teams to ensure the smooth implementation of pricing changes. Additionally, the manager will refine customer communications related to pricing, set clear expectations, and provide guidelines to marketing teams to meet regulatory compliance requirements. Collaborating with the Pricing product team, the manager will identify innovative pricing strategies that minimize fees and deliver value to customers swiftly. Building and maintaining a framework for pricing controls to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate operational risks is also a key responsibility. The role includes participating in industry associations to discuss regulatory changes and best practices, and representing Wise in legislative and regulatory consultations.
Candidates should possess the ability to interpret primary and secondary legislation related to pricing obligations, consumer conduct, and financial promotions across multiple jurisdictions. Experience working with cross-functional teams, including compliance, marketing, and finance, to launch products in various regions or business lines is preferred. A deep understanding of conduct-related Payments and Financial Services Regulations from consultancy, in-house, or legal perspectives is essential. The ideal candidate will have led major projects that significantly influenced decision-making processes, such as product launches, remediations, or audits, by thoroughly addressing complex issues. The ability to report and explain intricate regulatory expectations to senior stakeholders and C-level executives is crucial. Experience in building frameworks for operational processes is also important.
The compensation for this role ranges from GBP 83,000 to GBP 118,000 annually.
