As a Senior Product Manager at Canva, you will lead the strategic development and evolution of our Data Platform, ensuring it aligns with the company's growth and technological advancements. This role involves collaborating closely with engineering leadership to shape the vision for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, governance, and the Semantic Layer, thereby supporting Canva's mission to empower the world to design.

Your primary responsibilities will include defining and executing the Data Platform strategy and roadmap, prioritizing investments across various data processes, and building business cases to secure necessary resources. You will also spearhead the integration of AI into analytics and decision-making, transitioning from experimental phases to scalable strategies such as conversational analytics and AI-powered self-serve insights. Additionally, you will cultivate strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including data scientists, analytics engineers, business teams, and company leadership, to ensure platform adoption and measurable impact.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing major data platforms within significant digital organizations, with a comprehensive understanding of the data stack from ingestion to analytics. Proficiency with platforms like Snowflake, Google Cloud/BigQuery, AWS, or Databricks is essential, along with a proven track record of leading substantial shifts in data platform architecture and strategic direction. Experience in developing AI capabilities such as personalization, conversational analytics, and AI-driven data products is highly desirable. Strong stakeholder management skills are crucial, as the role requires navigating and aligning diverse priorities across technical and business teams.
