Senior Production Support Engineer
Galaxy is seeking a Senior Production Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in New York, NY. This role is integral to ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of our cryptocurrency business lines, including trading, risk, and settlement functions.
The Senior Production Support Engineer will own and lead front-line production support across various cryptocurrency business lines and functions, including client trading, lending, proprietary trading, trade settlement, and risk management. Responsibilities include driving and automating projects to minimize manual effort, monitoring system health and performance, debugging and troubleshooting complex applications written in Java and Python, and collaborating with development teams to implement fixes and enhancements. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with global counterparts to ensure seamless follow-the-sun support and documenting support procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, and over 8 years of experience in production support or engineering roles in crypto or finance. Strong technical skills in SQL and at least one programming or scripting language, preferably Java or Python, are required. Experience with incident response, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving in a production environment is essential. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to lead critical incidents and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
