Senior QA Lead
The Senior QA Lead at Tipalti is responsible for leading quality strategies across development teams, defining standards, monitoring quality metrics, and guiding test design, promoting quality ownership within teams.
Key responsibilities include leading quality strategy across teams, defining and driving quality standards, prioritizing involvement based on impact and risk, establishing and monitoring quality metrics, leading cross-team quality efforts, building and maintaining a system-level understanding, guiding development teams in test design and coverage decisions, promoting effective and responsible use of AI in testing and quality processes, and driving continuous improvement in quality practices.
Required qualifications include 7+ years of QA experience (Web-oriented), 2+ years of previous experience as a QA lead or tech lead, strong understanding of modern testing approaches (shift-left, CI/CD, test pyramid), experience defining testing strategies and improving quality practices across teams, experience influencing design and identifying gaps early in the development lifecycle, strong system thinking and ability to understand cross-team dependencies, ability to prioritize effectively and make decisions based on impact and risk, ability to influence teams without direct authority, hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium WebDriver, Playwright or similar) is an advantage, experience in backend/API testing is an advantage, experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is an advantage, experience with a relational database is an advantage, self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized, excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
