The Senior Resource Manager at Clifford Chance plays a pivotal role in optimizing the allocation of work and deployment of lawyers within the Corporate and Real Estate Practice Area. This position involves close collaboration with the Practice Area Management Team, including the Practice Area Leader, Practice Area Manager, Senior HR Business Partner, and other partners, to ensure effective resource management and support the firm's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities encompass acting as a trusted advisor to partners regarding workflow planning and resourcing, attending weekly partner meetings to provide strategic guidance, and discussing pipeline trends. The role also focuses on ensuring the optimal allocation of work and efficient deployment of staff to maximize profitability, including the cross-deployment of resources across practice areas and jurisdictions. Additionally, the Senior Resource Manager is tasked with identifying appropriate workloads for varying levels of associates and trainees, incorporating individual preferences and development goals where possible.

The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across various teams and levels within the firm. Experience in resource management within a professional services environment is highly desirable. A deep understanding of the legal industry and the specific demands of the Corporate and Real Estate sectors will be advantageous. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to implement practical solutions to alleviate over or under capacity by promoting cross-deployment of resources.
