Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Rootly is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our technical foundation. As an early SRE leader, you will have the opportunity to influence our infrastructure and reliability practices, contributing to our mission of helping organizations respond effectively when incidents occur. This position offers a dynamic environment where your contributions will directly impact the company's growth and success.
In this role, you will embed with product teams to enhance the observability, reliability, and performance of their services. You will own and improve our CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and incident response processes. Additionally, you will build tools and automation to eliminate manual tasks, improve engineering velocity, and enhance system reliability. Collaborating across engineering teams, you will surface cross-cutting reliability and scaling concerns, ensuring our infrastructure is resilient and scalable as we grow.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineering role, along with 5 years of experience writing software in a production environment. Strong technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and reliability practices is essential. A deep understanding of observability, performance tuning, and scaling strategies, as well as hands-on experience supporting web or RPC services at meaningful scale, is required. Proficiency in programming languages such as Ruby and Go is a plus.
