Senior Software Engineer, C++ Backend Development(Ad Cloud Bidding)
Appier is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in C++ backend development to join our Ad Cloud Bidding Team in Taipei, Taiwan. As a leading AI-driven SaaS company, Appier focuses on enhancing business decision-making through artificial intelligence. The Ad Cloud Bidding Team is dedicated to developing high-throughput, low-latency systems that optimize Return On Ad Spend (ROAS) and maximize campaign ROI for our global clientele.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing system deployment, configuration, and release pipelines. Your day-to-day tasks will include designing and overseeing automated deployment processes to ensure smooth and reliable releases, implementing monitoring and alerting strategies, and developing disaster recovery plans. You will also troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analyses, and participate in on-call rotations to lead incident responses when necessary. A key aspect of your work will involve continuously evaluating and adopting new tools or technologies to improve operational workflows.
The ideal candidate will possess a BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with over three years of experience in backend engineering or site reliability engineering. Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and scripting or programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, or Bash are essential. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and a proactive mindset toward automation and continuous improvement are highly valued. Preferred qualifications include experience with cloud infrastructure, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and observability tools, knowledge of performance profiling and load testing tools, and exposure to security hardening, access control, or compliance auditing.
