Senior Software Engineer, C++ Backend Development (Ad Cloud Bidding)- Tokyo Relocation required

Appier is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in C++ backend development to join our Ad Cloud Bidding team in Tokyo. This role involves building scalable backend systems that interconnect data and AI with our customers and users. As part of our dynamic team, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of backend services, ensuring the delivery of robust and high-performance distributed systems.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing backend services, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality systems. You will also be involved in troubleshooting production issues, conducting root cause analyses, and supporting system deployment, monitoring, and maintenance in production environments. Participation in on-call rotations and leading incident responses when required are also part of the role.

The ideal candidate will have a BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related fields and at least 3 years of experience in software development. Proficiency in modern C++ programming (C++11 and later) and familiarity with Unix/Linux environments are essential. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, along with a strong sense of ownership, are highly valued. Preferred qualifications include a good understanding of system programming, experience in developing low-latency and high-throughput systems, service optimization, performance tuning, modern build systems, and operation automation tools. Fluency in English or Chinese is required.
