Senior Software Engineer
DriveWealth is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Brokerage Platform as a Service and API teams. In this role, you will design and develop high-performance, scalable, and low-latency applications using Java, Kafka, and PostgreSQL on AWS. Our mission is to democratize access to financial independence globally through our API-based platform, enabling partners to offer seamless investing and trading experiences to clients worldwide.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will build event-driven microservices that facilitate real-time data processing and high-throughput transaction handling. Your responsibilities will include optimizing database performance through strategies like partitioning, implementing and maintaining messaging systems such as Kafka for asynchronous communication, and collaborating with other engineers to design and improve CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, you will write and maintain automated tests to ensure system stability and performance.
The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on Java and building high-performance systems. Proficiency in multi-threading, concurrent programming, and designing low-latency systems is essential. Experience with event-driven microservices, database partitioning strategies, cloud-native architectures (preferably AWS), and implementing CI/CD pipelines is also required. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in agile teams are crucial.
