Senior Software Engineer, Integrations
Censys is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Integrations team, focusing on developing and maintaining scalable integrations between the Censys Platform and third-party systems such as SIEMs, SOARs, and Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs). This role is pivotal in connecting our platform with critical security tools, enriching attack surface data, and delivering actionable insights directly into the tools that practitioners and CISOs rely on for visibility, threat hunting, and incident response.

Responsibilities include developing and operating scalable, high-availability API connectors, maintaining and improving existing Censys open-source APIs, and writing and maintaining internal pipelines and infrastructure as code to manage the deployment of new and existing Censys-hosted integrations and services. Additionally, you will design automated solutions for building, testing, monitoring, and deploying applications in a continuous integration environment, while maintaining a strong customer focus by prioritizing feature requests and helping define the integrations roadmap.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years focused on building and maintaining integrations or backend systems. A deep understanding of API-first development and service integration patterns is essential, along with proven ability to integrate multiple APIs into a unified platform with well-defined service contracts. Proficiency in Python (4+ years) is required, as well as a continuous drive to improve CI/CD processes and developer workflows. Excellent communication and documentation skills are also necessary to clearly explain complex technical concepts across engineering and non-engineering teams.
