Senior Thermal Engineer
Arista Networks is seeking a Senior Thermal Engineer to join our team in Santa Clara, California. This role focuses on developing thermal cooling strategies for our next-generation, high-performance switching products. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with electrical design and hardware validation teams to ensure comprehensive fulfillment of system requirements.
Key responsibilities include performing complete thermal analysis and design using tools such as Icepak, supporting thermal analysis requests from various cross-functional teams through detailed simulations or calculations, and conducting experimental tests to verify designs at both component and system levels, correlating results with computational data.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a Ph.D. preferred, and a minimum of five years of direct professional experience in thermal design and analysis of electronic appliances. Proficiency in numerical modeling based on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), as well as experience with high-power SoC liquid cooling thermal models and system-level analysis, are essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also required.
Arista offers a competitive base salary ranging from $130,000 to $200,000, depending on skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location.
