The Senior Web Developer at Tipalti will serve as the technical lead for the company's marketing web properties, overseeing architecture direction, coding standards, and performance optimization. This role involves mentoring contractors and ensuring the WordPress and modern JavaScript stack remains efficient and adaptable. Key responsibilities include evaluating and evolving the WordPress/PHP and frontend JavaScript architecture to ensure scalability and performance. The developer will establish and document coding standards, drive their adoption through code reviews and mentoring, and collaborate with WebOps to enhance site performance. Additionally, the role involves planning and implementing new site features with a focus on performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
Candidates should have over eight years of professional web development experience, including at least four years of hands-on WordPress/PHP development at scale. Proficiency in PHP, modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3/SCSS is required, along with a strong understanding of code architecture principles. Experience in improving page performance, conducting code reviews, and leading technical teams is essential.
