Sensory Panel Leader
The Sensory Panel Leader at Eurofins is responsible for managing and leading sensory panels to evaluate various consumer products, including food, beverages, cosmetics, and personal care items. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team of sensory scientists, food technologists, statisticians, and other professionals to deliver actionable insights that enhance product development and consumer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include recruiting, training, and motivating sensory panelists; organizing and conducting sensory tests such as descriptive profiling and discrimination testing; preparing test materials and questionnaires; analyzing data and visualizing results; and writing comprehensive reports for clients. The Sensory Panel Leader also monitors panel performance, ensures quality assurance processes are followed, and maintains effective communication with clients to organize panels and debrief sessions.
Candidates should possess a university degree in food science, social sciences, psychology, statistics, or economics. Experience in project management and/or running a sensory panel is desirable. Excellent written and oral communication skills in German are required, with proficiency in English considered a strong plus. Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential. The ideal candidate is rigorous, responsive, proactive, and demonstrates strong organizational and planning skills to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines.
