Sensory Panel Leader
The Sensory Panel Leader at Eurofins is responsible for managing and guiding sensory panelists to ensure accurate, high-quality data collection for sensory research projects. This role involves coordinating daily panel activities, monitoring panelist performance, and maintaining adherence to established methodologies and standards. The Panel Leader works closely with the Sensory Research Manager to support project execution and ensure smooth workflow across all sensory evaluations.
Key responsibilities include organizing and leading sensory panel sessions, recruiting and training panelists, and preparing and conducting sensory tests such as descriptive profiling, temporal assessments, and discrimination testing. The role also involves monitoring panelist performance, providing feedback, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. Additionally, the Panel Leader supports the Sensory Research Manager in designing and executing projects, supervises product handling for assigned projects, and assists in data analysis and reporting results to clients.
The ideal candidate holds a university degree in food science, social sciences, psychology, statistics, or economics. Experience in project management and/or running a sensory panel is desirable. Excellent written and oral communication skills in German are required, with English being a strong plus. Proficiency in MS Office applications, a rigorous and proactive approach to work, and strong organizational and planning skills are essential to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
