SEO Outreach Specialist - South Africa (12 month contract)

Canva is seeking an SEO Outreach Specialist for a 12-month contract in Johannesburg, South Africa. This role is part of the International SEO team, which focuses on enhancing the SEO performance of Canva's logged-out pages to empower users worldwide to discover Canva. The position offers a hybrid work environment, combining both in-office and remote work to facilitate collaboration and flexibility.

The SEO Outreach Specialist will be responsible for building high-quality backlinks to improve the SEO performance of key landing pages. Key responsibilities include identifying landing pages that would benefit from backlinks, building lists of relevant prospects, executing outreach campaigns, and developing relationships with website owners. The role also involves maintaining reporting spreadsheets to track progress and supporting the continual improvement of the global outreach strategy by sharing insights with the wider team.

The ideal candidate is a native or near-native English speaker with strong communication skills. They should have proven experience in SEO content writing and/or content marketing, with a portfolio demonstrating successful outcomes. Strong copywriting and editing skills are essential, along with experience in editorial planning and publishing content in a CMS. A solid understanding of SEO fundamentals, including keyword optimization and content structure, is required.
