As a Site Reliability Engineer on the Core team at you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the infrastructure that supports our distributed financial platform, which serves millions of users daily. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, focusing on developing and implementing best practices to ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of our services.

Your primary responsibilities will include evolving our infrastructure to address complex technical challenges related to reliability, latency, bandwidth, and security. You will improve observability, monitoring, and alerting systems across the platform, coordinate work across various teams to ensure efficient execution, centralize common workstreams to reduce duplication, and develop tooling to automate repetitive tasks, thereby enhancing operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have experience with containerization and service orchestration, including best practices and security measures. Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Golang, Python, or Bash, is required. A strong understanding of Linux systems, experience with cloud solutions like GCP or AWS, and familiarity with modern monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana, and Telegraf are essential. Additional qualifications include experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, configuration management tools such as Saltstack, GitOps and CI/CD practices, messaging systems like Kafka, and database management. Experience working in data centers and knowledge of routing and switching protocols are advantageous.
