SLAM Architect (Robotics)

Hyphen Connect is seeking a skilled SLAM Architect to join our robotics team in the San Francisco Bay Area. In this role, you will drive the development of advanced autonomous navigation systems, focusing on Visual-Inertial SLAM, dynamic obstacle avoidance, and path planning to enhance our robotic platforms.

As a SLAM Architect, your primary responsibilities will include developing robust Visual-Inertial SLAM pipelines, implementing dynamic obstacle avoidance strategies, and designing predictive path planning algorithms. Additionally, you will optimize these algorithms for efficient deployment on low-compute edge devices within our robots.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of state estimation techniques, including Kalman filters and factor graphs. Experience with ROS2/Nav2 and point cloud processing (PCL) is essential. A proven track record of deploying autonomous navigation systems in real-world settings is highly desirable.

Hyphen Connect offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $140,000 to $230,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional development.
