SLAM Architect (Robotics)
Hyphen Connect is seeking a skilled SLAM Architect to lead the development of advanced autonomous navigation systems for our robotic platforms. This role is pivotal in enhancing our robots' ability to navigate and interact dynamically with their environments.
The SLAM Architect will be responsible for developing robust Visual-Inertial SLAM pipelines, implementing dynamic obstacle avoidance, and designing predictive path planning algorithms. Additionally, the role involves optimizing these algorithms for deployment on low-compute edge devices within the robots.
Candidates must possess advanced knowledge of state estimation techniques, including Kalman filters and factor graphs. Experience with ROS2/Nav2 and point cloud processing libraries such as PCL is essential. A proven track record of deploying autonomous navigation systems in real-world settings is also required.
