The Sleep Support Specialist role is designed for a highly-trained professional dedicated to optimizing Inspire Upper Airway Stimulation (UAS) therapy outcomes post-implantation. This position provides expertise in clinical sleep medicine, including polysomnography, PAP therapy, and patient care management, ensuring the success of Inspire therapy.
Key responsibilities include assisting with customer training for new Inspire UAS commercial and clinical sites, training customers on the Inspire Programmer System, and supporting the development of the UAS titration algorithm. The role also involves providing direct on-site and remote support for Inspire UAS titration sleep studies, troubleshooting appointments, and assisting with therapy support phone lines.
Candidates should have a high school degree or equivalent, with at least one year of experience in a sleep laboratory as a sleep technologist or allied healthcare professional, or five years in the field of sleep medicine. Experience in manually scoring and interpreting sleep studies, knowledge of polysomnography software, and proficiency in computer programs related to OSA therapy management are essential. The role requires the ability to travel up to 50% and work varying hours, including overnight sleep studies.
