Key responsibilities include leading clients through an advancing social agenda with a comprehensive understanding of the media and cultural ecosystem. The Social Lead is tasked with creating and developing a sophisticated global social team operating model across paid, organic, creator, and commerce channels. This involves integrating all WPP capabilities, solutions, and social disciplines linked to client growth, as well as leading direct and indirect agency teams in global social growth plans across various markets. Additionally, the role supports performance and client growth through the WPP framework of thinking and drives the evolution of social strategy in response to the creator economy and technological advancements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading global social accounts and managing stakeholders at the most senior levels, up to C-level. Proven experience in managing, leading, and inspiring dynamic social and content teams across both agency and client environments is essential. Expertise in paid social, organic community engagement, creator and influencer marketing, social commerce, and AI-generated content is required. A working knowledge of adjacent disciplines such as search, programmatic, CRM, and PR from an integration perspective is also important. The candidate should be adept at engaging on topics like the creator economy, platform-native creative, first-party data activation, attribution, brand safety, community management, and evolving measurement models within the social and marketing ecosystem.
