Software Development Engineer 2, Post Trade
DriveWealth is seeking a Software Development Engineer 2 to join our Post Trade team. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of our back-office platform, focusing on building event-driven microservices using Java, Kafka, and PostgreSQL. Our mission is to democratize access to financial independence globally through our API-based platform, enabling partners to offer seamless investing and trading experiences to clients worldwide.
As a Software Development Engineer 2, you will develop and maintain high-performance, scalable, and resilient Java applications capable of handling large volumes of transactions across various asset classes, including equities, options, mutual funds, and fixed income. You will work on multi-threaded programming to ensure optimal system performance and collaborate with the team to integrate and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated, fast, and reliable software delivery.
The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java and relational databases. A solid understanding of software engineering foundations, including data structures, cloud computing, algorithms, and databases, is essential. Exposure to multi-threading, concurrent programming, event-driven architecture, and messaging systems like Kafka or ActiveMQ is highly desirable. Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and platforms like AWS, as well as experience with CI/CD tools and automated software delivery practices, will be advantageous.
Compensation for this role is competitive and based on candidate experience and technical qualifications. The position is based in New York, NY, with a hybrid work arrangement.
