Solution Engineer
Tanium, a leading cybersecurity and systems management company, is seeking a Solution Engineer to join their team in Ottawa, Canada. As part of the Solution Engineering team, the Solution Engineer will collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Success teams to engage both current and potential customers, driving the technology evaluation stage of the sales cycle.
In this position, the Solution Engineer will lead interactive pre-sales discovery meetings, analyze customers' existing technology and architecture, and develop tailored Tanium solutions that address operational and business needs. Responsibilities include conducting platform demonstrations, delivering comprehensive Proof of Value engagements, and translating customer business challenges into technical solutions. The role also involves building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, participating in regional marketing events and conferences, and collaborating with field engineering teams to ensure a consistent customer experience throughout the Proof of Value process.
Candidates should have over four years of experience in endpoint operations or security, with at least two years in customer-facing or support roles. A strong background in software pre-sales or value-based technical selling within large enterprise environments is essential. Experience with Canadian Federal and Provincial government entities is preferred. Proficiency in both English and French, excellent communication skills, and a team-oriented, mission-first attitude are required. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field is also necessary.
