Special Assistant to the Deputy Legal Director / Director of the Trone Center

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is seeking a full-time Special Assistant to the Deputy Legal Director/Director of the Trone Center for Justice and Equality in Washington, DC. This hybrid role requires in-office presence two days per week or eight days per month. The Trone Center focuses on issues of crime, punishment, and racial justice, including efforts to eradicate racial injustice, the treatment of prisoners, the death penalty, and over-incarceration. The Center comprises six projects: the Abortion Criminal Defense Initiative, Capital Punishment Project, Criminal Law Reform Project, National Prison Project, Racial Justice Program, and the John Adams Project.
